“In loving memory of John T. T. Pilkington of Chevet Hey, Wrexham, aged 50 and of his son Augustus, aged 19, who were both killed in the railway accident near Oxford on Christmas Eve 1874.”

Full Gravestone Inscription:  “In loving memory of John T. T. Pilkington of Chevet Hey, Wrexham, aged 50 and of his son, Augustus, aged 19, who were both killed in the railway accident near Oxford on Christmas Eve 1874.  Also in memory of Louisa, his wife, died Feb 17 1859. And of his sons Alfred and Lionel Pilkington”
